Summary

On the night of June 3, 1995, a young woman was found deceased from a gunshot wound to the forehead on the 28th floor of the Oslo Plaza hotel in Norway. As she had just checked into the facility a few days earlier with her husband, it was initially thought some type of domestic dispute ended in murder. But as authorities began to investigate, they couldn't seem to validate the existence of the woman's husband. To make matters worse, they didn't know who she was either. And once the police concluded the death was likely a suicide, the forensics conducted in the aftermath seemed to suggest the woman had never fired the gun found in her hand. Twenty-five years later, the world is still trying to unravel the mystery behind the true identities of Lois and Jennifer Fergate.
Were they a real couple, perhaps even spies? Was Jennifer Fergate really murdered? Or was it all a ruse, a plan devised to cover up the shame of one person's suicide? Join host Ryan Kraus for a fascinating journey into the psychology of the emotional narrative rendered by the victim's actions.

It all starts on May 22nd, 1995 when Oslo Plaza Hotel receives a call from

Jennifer Fairgate to make a reservation. It's only 1995, so this essentially predates the popular option of being able to book online.

Now, Jennifer reserves the room with the last name,

Fergate, which is misheard as Feregate

by the person helping her, almost certainly

because Feregate is a common name,

but Feregate is a nearly non-existent name. She makes accommodations for two

So unfortunately, we don't know the dates initially booked
