trying to establish a radical minimum standard of discipleship for followers of Jesus here in the West.

I'm loving this series.

I think it's so important that we talk about what discipleship looks like in a time like this. So I hope these are

inspiring you, giving you vision and faith about the beauty and possibility of following Jesus in a

cultural moment like ours. I also wanted to take a moment just to say thank you to everybody

who gave to living the liturgy. We are blown away by your generosity

and the faithfulness of God to our church here in New York through people who listen in like you.

So thank you for keeping us in your heart, your prayers and forgiving. We're excited about all

God's going to do through your generosity. So appreciate you all.

Today's teaching text is taken from Romans chapter 6 versus 1 to 14. Romans chapter 6 versus 1 to 14 Romans chapter six verses one to 14 what shall we say then are we to

continue in sin that grace may abound by no means how can we who died to sin still live in it

do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his

death? We were buried, therefore, with him by baptism into death in order that, just as Christ

was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in the newness of life.

For if we have been united with him in death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.

We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing,

so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

For one who has died has been set free from sin.

Now we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also
