Millennial zeitgeist podcasts I like to say.

We talk about pop culture but kind of extensions of pop culture that are outside of traditional

entertainment news and a big topic of conversation on this pot over the years has been influencers.

And I have a really interesting interview today but I always talk to myself leading up to the

interview to kind of contextualize why I wanted to talk about this, where I'm not relative

to the subject and you know some ancillary thoughts on how I'm currently being mom influenced.

We talked about influencers a lot over the years, different kinds and in different contacts.

One of the series that kind of took off on this show many moons ago was about mommy bloggers specifically

Mormon mommy bloggers, which now that I say that sounds like a reductive title, it's not meant to be.

Meaning people who on their social media platforms or blog seem to lead first and foremost with

their family with being a mom and that make it a core part of their content.

So this weekend wanted to muse aloud about some things related to mom influencers as they say.

And they also interviewed the author of a book that came out this past week called Mom

Fluenced by Sarah Peterson, who's a really talented New Hampshire based writer that has a

substack I came across called in pursuit of clean countertops when I was trying to like find a

scoop on ballerina farm, but she has an accomplished writing career and I'll introduce her a bit later.

But it's a really interesting book that is her own personal research and fandom of mom influencers

for the past 10 years and also a deeper examination in how mom influencers are kind of an economic force.

And the imagery that they put forth in the world via their social media profiles
