Open in that hotel, what does it teach you about life that you use regularly?

Things that maybe don't work along the way or maybe there's a delay in construction or I don't know,

maybe the uniforms don't arrive until the midnight, the night before you open, these kinds of things happen.

Sometimes you need to take a step back and say, okay, this doesn't work, so how am I going to fix it?

At Hayet Hotels.

What does your role kind of consist of now?

After 27 years of being in operations.

Last year I switched to a corporate office role,

the head of human resources for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

So I support all of the Hyatt hotels that we have in this region.

And how many is that?

210 at the moment.

There are over 20,000 colleagues.

I'm sure that we allow colleagues to grow so that we can bring more people into our industry,

give them the opportunity to be their best selves.

What's really great about the industry and what's the areas of improvement?

There's lots of opportunities to explore yourself,

meeting different people, traveling abroad, and also for each personality, there is something there.

What we need to improve, industry sometimes still has a bad image,

which is absolutely not true
