Moscow has hit Ukraine with another round of strikes, despite President Donald Trump's plea

for Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop attacking its neighbour.

Trump's rare criticism of the Russian leader was in response to the country's overnight bombardment of Kiev on Wednesday,

its deadliest attack in nine months.

Meanwhile, Trump's special envoy, Steve Wittkoff, is set to meet with Putin in Russia today.

That's according to a U.S. official, and it comes as the Trump administration continues efforts

to end the Ukraine war, with special envoy Keith Kellogg's

meeting with Ukrainians in London earlier this week.
