When the son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Lord, I believe, help thou mine unbelief.

May our testimonies. my unbelief.

May our testimonies be as deep and strong as that of Jacob.

When confronted by one who sought to destroy his face declared,

I could not be shaken. The Oh, With a masterpiece like Moroni 7 behind us, Moroni 8 and 9 come across with a little different spirit.

Chapter 7, after all, was a discourse, a sermon that Mormon taught on Faith, Hope and Charity.

Chapter 8 and Chapter 9 are letters that Mormon writes to his son, much more personal,

much more raw, and they reflect a lack of faith, hope, and charity on par in the part of Mormon's people.

It's interesting that back in the book of Mormon,

Mormon even admits to us,

I don't want to dwell upon the scenes of blood and carnage

that are all around me. I'm not going to get very

specific about these things. I'll talk more about general wickedness and

abomination, but I don't want to weigh you down with sorrow. Well in these letters that he writes, especially Moroni Chapter 9,

there's no sugarcoding. We can see some horrific detail that Mormon tried to shield us from earlier in his book.

But to see what he was dealing with all around him, this is a civilization that has

lost its hold on good things because they have lost their faith in Christ.

And without faith in Him, there can be no hope for ultimate things or any charity for one another.

Now chapter 8 begins, an epistle of my father Mormon written to me, Moroni.

It was written to me soon after my call into the ministry, so shortly after Moroni was given

the gift of a calling through the grace of Christ and the will of God.
