24 has been a massive year for rap music.

We got 21 Savage coming out with a studio album.

That happened in January.

We had Playboy Cardi that went on a single run.

We got a new album, or should I say two, for Metro Boomin in future.

We ended up getting a schoolboy cue return.

We got a mega rap feud.

And it's felt like this has been one of the most eventful years in hip hop in a very long time.

Back in 2023, Lou, you and I were having the conversation of, well, is the genre looking so good?

Especially looking at the albums that came out in 2023, the output from the mainstream max, the lack of quality that was coming out from the genre as a whole.

But I feel like we're finally back.

I feel like hip hop is striving right now.

And I think it's a beautiful time to do our most anticipated albums of 2024 going into the new half.
