Hey everybody welcome back to Cold Case murder mysteries. I'm your host Ryan Kraus taking you down the stairs of the human psyche into the basement of reality where we will once more examine the psychological implications of violent crimes and the

perpetrators who commit them.

In this episode, we're taking a look at the gruesome,

horrifying, and seemingly inexplicable hi-fi murders

which occurred at the hi-fi shop in Ogden, Utah on the evening of

April 22nd, 1974, leaving three people dead, two others badly injured,

and nearly $25,000 worth of audio and other electronic equipment

missing from the premises.

Shortly before closing time that evening, a small group of men arrived

outside the shop, a group believed to have consisted of young airmen from a nearby Air Force base. However, while it's believed a number of men were involved

in the robbery, at the culmination of this story, only three of the participants will be identified.

Perhaps the closest estimate to what really happened here

is that three or four men entered the store

to carry out the robbery of the equipment,

while two waited in the getaway vehicle which had 20 year old

Keith Roberts behind the wheel. Now of those three or four men who entered the store, it's believed that only two of them, Dale Selby

Pierre, 21, and William Andrews 19 are the people who were present during the torture and death to follow.

Everybody else seems to have left by then, which means that the three men in question are

the ones with serious psychological issues requiring an extended narrative beyond the robbery

itself.
