My name is Cookie and I'm an alcoholic and my home group is Popory in Manhattan and

When I first came to my first convention there was a man named Tom M from Suffolk County

and he used to say, can you hear me now, somebody going like that in the back, he used to

it and come mess up mine, stay and fix yours.

So I've done that at my home group all these years and my GSR is sitting in the second

row and making me feel comfortable and all the people that came before, a special thanks

There was a time when I came to alcoholics and onumus when nobody invited me any place.

And as a matter of fact, alcoholics and onumus was the only place that said welcome, everybody

So it's quite a change today and I owe my sobriety to all of you, to the wonderful old

timers that we all heard today, to the two absolutely fantastic speakers out on NAA,

my friend Paul, my friend Joan, that we heard last night, who stressed welcome.

And because I was so non-wanted when I came here, that welcome was very special to me.
