0:54.4	about an English woman. So like get your geography in order, I know it's very confusing.
1:00.3	It's technically, it's from Australia but it's about the UK, but you know.
1:05.0	Goodness knows she was incredible.
1:07.5	Her name was Ethel Smyth.
1:09.4	And I mean, I'm standing by, I was a 60 second buyer. I mean I'm not sure

1:20.7	Oh okay. I thought Smyth was born on the 22nd of April 1858.
1:24.8	While this was her actual birthday for most of her life she celebrated on the 23rd of April,
1:28.9	she lived at Frimharz and her family green.
1:30.8	She first studied privately with Alexander Ewego when she was
1:33.0	17 who introduced her to the music of Beliose and Wagner. Her father was
1:36.3	particularly unsupportive of her having a career in music but after a major
1:39.7	fight she headed off to Leipzig where she studied the conservatory before studying privately.
