So I always start here because I think it's so fascinating to understand.

What was your first job?

My, well, my very first job actually, it's an interesting career journey. So I got in, when you're my age, Jack, you go back to when I was young. The thing to do was join a bank. And all my family said, you've got to go into bank and it's a job for life. Little did they know. And so I was

offered a job in a bank and actually I didn't take it because I couldn't bring myself to be

tied to a desk and just think that's all I'm going to do. So my very first job actually was I

then went to college and did a sandwich course because I had no experience and I just went to Liverpool

and did a sandwich course in building surveying and that was just really getting me into

things and so you could say my first job was part of the sandwich course that I was just getting

used to what is work all about you know suddenly few holidays and things like that so I did that I had worked in the summer on jobs you know, suddenly a few holidays and things like that. So I did that. I had worked in

the summer on jobs, you know, on things in factories and doing stuff like that. My dad was a

painter and decorator and used to do a lot in factories. So I used to join him and help him out.

But first proper job, if you like, was just out of college there. Nice.
