So today we've got a special guest, the fantastic David. How are we today?

Yeah, very well, thank you. Good morning.

How are we doing? It's a bit cold outside, isn't it?

It is, it is, but I'm from Glasgow, so I'm used to it.

You're used to it.

So, David, I want to just start with a little bit about who is David and what is your role what do you do and who do you

work for certainly so well i'm david Thomas so i'm the chief executive of barrett developments

barrett is the largest house builder in the UK so we we build and sell around 18,000 homes. We operate in England,

Scotland and Wales. We employ 7,000 people, but then on top of that we employ the subcontractors,

so our bricklayers, plumbers, electricians, our ground workers. And therefore, it's a big,

big operation at Barrett. We've been in business for, since 1958, so we've been around quite a long time.

We've seen different markets evolve. And I've been at Bairn now for 14 years,

so I started a CFO,

and then I became chief executive

nearly eight years ago now.

So it's just been a fantastic journey for me at Bairn.

I was only five.
