At the carnival, all of a sudden, I hear my son scream.

He's like no more than six or seven.

He was struck in the eye with a dart.

His friend threw the dart and missed. It ricocheted off the back and it came

straight for Kyle's eye. And I negotiated with God. I said, God, if you spare my son, his eye.

And the bargaining with God begins. Welcome. It's touched by heaven. Everyday encounters with God because God is speaking to you

and me and the church and the world and here we get to listen in on the conversations.

These encounters with angels, divine intervention, prophetic dreams, visions, near death experiences.

And this is that battle. Shanita and her husband John have had through life and what? Well, you just heard it. There's a particular moment when all of

goes, beyond family gatherings and all that, the best thing we do is called the Good News

Cruise. We were just on it. It is a week away from the sub-freezing temperatures of Ohio.

It is a floating retreat where four, 500 married couples get

together all on the same page and hearing the most incredible talks and spiritual uplift in the

midst of 80 degrees and sunshine and warmth where the destinations don't even matter in the Bahamas

and Caribbean. It's about what's happening on the ship.

And this year it was Cardinal Timothy Dolan at a New York who's an amazingly funny guy

and spiritual leader.
