So I wanted to ask you a question. I've listened to you for a long time and I really appreciate and follow a lot of your advice.

My mother-in-law is in her 80s and I have a 10-year-old daughter and my mother-in-law has

always been and will probably never change that she's very focused on appearance and looks and

she makes a lot of comments about that and my 10-year-old daughter is starting to express that she's uncomfortable with some of the comments

she hears from her grandmother when we get together in family events.

Things like, oh, look at this long-legged spider, or like, oh, you finally

look like a girl today, things that are making her feel uncomfortable.

And this past weekend, we were together for an event.

And my husband actually told his mom, like,

he was trying to do it in a nice way of, like,

mom, actually, some of those things you say to our daughter

make her uncomfortable and her response was,

well, she's just gonna have to deal with it.
