Hey everybody I have a great show today. I have a panel of Native American leaders and the organizer of this man was Chase Iron Eyes and Chase is the Native Outreach Director for our for the county campaign he was raised on Standing Rock Indian Reservation until the age

of 19, he earned his undergraduate degree at University of North

Dakota studying political science. He then graduated the University of

Denver Law School.

He was, Chase was charged with felony

inciting a riot, a five-year prison term maximum

as a result of participating in the Standing Rock protests against the Dappell pipeline.

And we crossed paths at that point. And he helped lead the efforts to reclaim sacred lands

in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

He raised over a million dollars to launch the land back movement in 2012.

Chase's family, Chase's uncle, Everett Iron High is a very close friend of mine.

He's been an ally of mine for many, many years. We've been all over the country together,

he went to, and North America. We've been to the Arctic, to the Taiga in both Manitoba and in northern Quebec.

He was with me for 10 years fighting the,

in the successful battle against a James Bay project which was this

a proposal to build the biggest construction project in the history of the world

six hundred and I think 25 dams and dikes to dam at 11

major rivers that go into the the eastern side of James Bay and Hudson's Bay, they were going to create a lake the size of Lake Erie and destroy an area larger than France.

And it was

was all three Indian lands. The Cree were never consulted, they never lost a war,

they never signed a treaty, and they had no place at the table and they came to New York,

the gree-grand chief Matthew couldn't come
