Hi friends, welcome to another episode of Confessions of a crappy Christian. This is a little Friday special episode. We haven't done

one of these in a minute, but after the school shooting last week and a heightened conversation

surrounding gun control on both sides of the aisle.

I wanted to just create something that I could send people to when this conversation inevitably kicks up.

I expect it to continue to be a prevalent conversation. this conversation

leading up to the election, but I also just don't think it's going anywhere.

And this is too nuanced and complex of a conversation to completely break down on Instagram or in stories.

And so I just wanted to give a little insight on where I'm coming from because I'm really very

tired of being cast as the villain for not being completely on board with the ideas that

are being presented for gun reform.

And I'm tired of it being framed as if you oppose some of these ideas or if you have questions

or concerns that you are prioritizing your guns over children or you are worshiping your weapons.

I'm tired of it because it is a ignorant argument. Are there people who feel that way

who do prioritize their gun ownership over the lives of children or who worship their Second Amendment rights?

I mean, I guess.
