0:05.1	National Parks News Roundup. Welcome back, everybody. First up, several national parks have made
0:10.8	updates to their timed entry requirements for 2025. And at Arches, it's kind of a big change.
0:17.5	The actual way reservations will work is mostly the same as 2024. Beginning on
0:22.6	April 1st, you'll need a reservation to get into Arches National Park up through the end of
0:28.2	October. But the big change is that the park will not require reservations from July 7th
0:34.4	through August 27th, 2025. Basically after the July 4th holiday until just before Labor Day weekend when visitation
0:43.1	traditionally slows down.
0:44.8	It gets really hot in July and August at arches.
0:47.5	Time to entry tickets will be required for visitors arriving between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily
0:52.9	when the program is in effect unless they have camping tour
0:56.1	or special use permits. That's pretty standard across the board at these parks. If you have a camping
1:01.0	reservation, you don't need an entry permit. Visitors arriving before 7 a.m. or after 4 p.m. will not
1:07.6	need a timed entry ticket. So you can get up and get there early or come in late
1:12.7	in the afternoon. Visitors can reserve their tickets on a first come first serve basis through
1:17.1	recreation.gov online or over the phone beginning at 8 a.m. Mountain Standard time on January
1:23.7	2nd, 2025. Reservations will be released three months in advance in monthly blocks. For example, on January 2nd, 2025, reservations will be released three months in advance in monthly blocks.
1:29.5	For example, on January 2nd, reservations will open for the month of April.
1:33.5	On February 1st, reservations will open for the month of May and so on through July,
1:38.2	when the final block of October reservations will be made available.
1:42.1	Starting March 31st, additional tickets will be released at 7 p.m.
1:46.4	Mountain Time each day for park visits the following day.
