Welcome back to another episode of the Kevin Rose show.

Although this is actually the very first episode of my brand new podcast called Modern Finance.

I'm excited to launch a show and tell you what it's about, but I think I need to take a step back and really unpacked for you why I think it's so important that this show exists today and why you should subscribe.

So I read a report that said for the very first time in

Q4 of 2020 there have been more institutional money going into purchase

cryptocurrency than retail.

So what does that mean?

That means that VC firms funds, family offices,

of billionaires, big corporations, ones like Square and Tesla,

the two that have made announcements that they bought crypto.

All of these big firms with hundreds of billions of dollars are now buying cryptocurrency at a rate

that is outpacing consumers.

So if this trend continues, and Apple gets into the game,

Google gets into the game, every other major Fortune 1000,

and even governments.

If this happens, we're talking about trillions of dollars

entering into the cryptocurrency space.

This could be one of those crazy moments that a decade from now we look back and we say this is as big

as the internet or the iPhone or I don't know like when Amazon launched like this is just one of those crazy world-changing

moments and when I say world-changing I mean a few different things one this idea of a

universal currency that is accepted globally could be world changing.
