Luke 15, 17 through 24.

It says this is the story of the prodigal son.

Many of you know it well he took his

inheritance as for it in advance so he can just go squander it on all sorts of

just riotous prodigal living and he did everything imaginable. He just, he's spinning on prostitutes,

on all matter of degradation, on all sorts of depravity.

If we can imagine it, he probably did something along the same level of it.

So this is the guy.

And so he gets to that place where he comes awake and says, listen, how many, it says in verse 17, but when he came to himself,

he said, how many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here

with hunger. I will arise and go to my father and I will say to him,

father, I have sin against heaven and before you I am no longer worthy to be called your son,

treat me as one of your hired servants.

So he got his speech all ready to go.

He'd memorized it.

You can tell it because he's going to say it exactly

like the way he thought it.
