The smartest person I ever met my life was my mother's father, George Reed.

It was born in Washington, D.C. in 1911.

And, well, we always speculated that his mother was white.

How else could that have happened in 1911?

Legend has it maybe as many as 11 times. He lived with 11 different families growing up, going from one place to another place.

Despite a family he lived with that was particularly cruel.

Well, their marquee cruelness was, they were displeased with him, they would lock this

And they would tell him, there were snakes in there. And he said he would run around and he would scream and holler,

and was terrified of these snakes.

Later in life, I kind of realized
