Sage hooked Preston up to a modified dream machine and revealed that he was Preston's first version.

He had captured him so that he could relive all of the memories he had lost.

Cobin, the blacksmith, tricked Sage into thinking they were under attack and then rescued Preston

after Sage left the room.

Coban and Preston fled the throne ship in an escape pod and headed to Peg Rock where Kobin's men were waiting to make a last stand against Sages forces.

On their way down, Preston noticed a shepherd's crook in the pod and discovered that Cobin was the first

version of Shep. And now for episode 27, The Crook.
