It really is weird. It occurred to me the other day when we were talking to a couple

people we know that people don't realize that you literally have no idea the story that I'm going to tell

you.

No, because I don't really pay attention to true crime that much.

Like if I see something in the news, I'll look at it for a second, but I keep it moving.

It's like channel surfing on my way to ESPN.

It's true crime just passing by.

Yeah, I found it weird because people thought we like planned this whole thing.

But we really don't.

I plan the whole episode and then Russ just shows up and I tell him this story and all of his reactions are totally authentic and we really never edit the podcast either.
