Nekeo has been paving the way for inclusive beauty and supporting black entrepreneurs for her whole career.

She launched her first beauty brand, Nekeo Beauty in 2002.

And that line eventually was acquired by Unilever.

In 2020, she launched 13-Lune, the e-commerce platform dedicated to elevating black beauty founders.

And most recently, she debuted relevant skin, her clean, cruelty-free vegan skin care line.

I'm going to start with beauty questions. What is the worst beauty mistake you've ever made?

I'd say the worst beauty mistake I ever made was having a little bit of onset acne.

When I was in my 20s, adult onset acne and deciding to order a system off the television, which is a little too strong for my skin.
