He is professor of exegetical theology at Concordia Theological Seminary.

His book is Figuring Resurrection. Joseph as a death and

resurrection figure in the Old Testament and Second Temple Judaism. This is our topic today. Welcome,

Professor Pulse. Well, thank you. It's good to be with you. All right. Well, tell me, first,

you know, maybe a personal question. What brings you to the story of Joseph? You like it?

Well, I was sort of, I was, well, when I began my Ph.D. work at the University of Durham in England,

I think it was my doctoral father who gently guided me in this direction.
