And this is your Thursday pot. It's time to deep dive into some ball talk. We've been doing this all playoff long each side of the ball. It's time for Ohio State's offense versus Notre Dame's defense.

I don't know if these are, I miss is Notre Dame's best unit. I wouldn't say this is Ohio State's best unit, though I wouldn't say it's not their best unit. I don't know. Ohio State's

is a really good football team and Notre Dame has a very, very good defense. Ohio State's numbers

heading into this game, 35.8 points per game that's second in the Big 10 12 nationally. 6.93 yards per play that's first in the Big 10 third nationally 9.2 passing yards per attempt

that's second in the Big 10 behind Indiana that is tied for fourth nationally and I'm going to get

into that later on this pod so I'm going to have you guys guess who they're tied with and then

4.97 rushing yards per attempt that's fourth in the Big 1029th nationally.

Now on the other side of the ball, Notre Dame, they're not in a conference, so there's no way to rank them in a conference.

They're 14.3 points allow per game that's second nationally ahead of them as Ohio State.

4.60 yards allow per play that's 6 nationally. 5.8 passing yards allowed per attempt that's

tied for third nationally with Indiana and San Houston, which is, it makes that Indiana game

even the more weirder. And then 3.67 rushing yards allowed per game.

That's 28th nationally.

So that's the only raw stat number, Stefan, that they are not in the top six in nationally.

Because I went into my research and my watching of games thinking to myself, okay, Notre Dame's got a really good defense. How is Ohio State going to figure it out? And then I left thinking, Notre Dame's got a decent defense, but it's not as good as their number suggested is.
