Summary

When High School Musical: The Musical: The Series premiered in 2019, it gave fans new adorable teen leads to “ship”: Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett. But when Olivia released the break up song “Driver’s License,” and referenced a “blonde girl,” fans would go on a witch hunt for the homewrecker, allegedly fellow Disney star Sabrina Carpenter. What followed was a series of diss tracks, denials, media sightings, and fan pandemonium. But did Gen Z’s biggest pop culture love triangle even happen in real life, or was it all just fan bait?
