thinking about. I know that so often, cyst is a four-letter word, meaning you hear you have a cyst

and it sounds automatically like it's the worst thing it could ever be. We have to remember that a cyst is

simply a radiographic finding of a fluid-filled structure.

And there's different type of cysts, some that are very normal and should be there,

and some that are not normal and should not be there.

And those that are not normal or pathologic have different implications if they are benign,

So it's normal any time you hear the word cyst to have a minor freak out, but I will tell you every day when I'm in office doing a series of ultrasounds, I will say the word cyst more than
