I went from being unable to run a mile to conquering four marathons the following year.

You're not connected to what you're about, then what are you about?

I'm connected to my mission, which is take care of

those and take care of us. That means the men and women in our uniform. That means our first responders,

our daughters, our nurses, our teachers. They, to me, are first responders. Number one, teachers

take care of kids, but are young. They grew up to be successful people that they listen

number two parents obviously but i think our nation has forgotten about our uh 2.7 million active

duty men and women in uh are a regular force but also our guard and reserve forces and they've

forgotten about our police, our firefighters.

You know, we went through a very tumultuous, I would say, four years, whatever,

maybe longer than that, where we talk about defunding police and defunding this and, you know,

get out of here, guys. You know, these are the men and women that we call when we need something.

And they're there, they don't question, they don't question who you vote for, how much money

you have, what color your skin is.

They just get in and do their job.
