Hey everybody welcome to FitzDog Radio. I am sitting here on a warm summer day. My wife has just left me. Not for good!

Ah, thank God that never happened. Holy shit. I can't imagine. I really can't imagine my wife leaving me. I mean I haven't even tried.

Because she's in New York for the next five days. We've talked about Aunt Jo died. Aunt Jo in the Bronx and she has a lot of paperwork in the house.

And my wife has gone back to help her sort through it. Help her mom sort through it. So we went shopping at Trader Joe's yesterday. Loaded up the fridge with some some some steak tips, some salmon, sausages, turkey meat.

I'm gonna make dinner every night. I'm gonna walk the dog. I always walk the dog anyway. Walk the dog.

I used to be dog zah. Now it's dog. One dog. It's so fucking weird. My beautiful dog, Broulai, who as you know is he's difficult. He's ornery. He's a bider.

And has been for the last 30s. He was about 16 years old. We just put him down two days ago. It was a very sad day. It was very emotional. It was way more emotional than I thought it was gonna be.

I think because he's been so difficult. And because he's so incapacitated. I thought that it would just be kind of wrote just put him down.

But that day I the day before even I just went into a thunk. And I just started thinking about all the good times I've had with this dog.

He was the dog. He's the dog that when you come home, he is at the front door tail wagging looking up at you just saying, here's a little burst of joy for you.

Here's a little feeling of home. Here's a feeling of someone's excited that you're alive. And he was great snuggler. He was.

He followed you around the house. These dogs, they're lost the ops and they're sent in a dog. So they're trained. They were bred into bet to look out for the for the monks. They they would stand on the you know in the property and they would they would watch out.

They have apparently the best hearing of any dog. But that meant that if you went from one room to the next, so did he.

And I would go out at night to do a show. If I was out doing stand up, he waited by the front door until I got home and then he walked me into the bedroom at night.

And and he was very sweet. And then he also bit people constantly and pissed and shit on the rugs and fought with the other dog. Attack the other dog.

So it was mixed. It was a very mixed relationship with Brule by the way, I didn't name him Brule and I was never happy with the name, but that was his adopted name. He already had it when we rescued him.

And so we stuck with it because they said he was the color of of crem Brule and then his brother initially we adopted him and his brother.

And his name was flan because he was the color of flan.

If you think Brule was ornary flan literally in the first days in the house would get on my pillow and piss on it and on my bed. And then when I would try to move him, he would bite me.

Pretty hard. And he lasted about three days. And then he had to be sent back to the factory for some reprogramming because we had little kids at the time. I think JoJo was probably about well, she was five. Yeah, JoJo was five and Owen was seven when we got the dogs.

So we went as a family and we we fed him all day. We just kept feeding him food, chicken, steak and dog bones and treats. He kind of knew something was up because we were all passing him around and holding him. He was like, why the fuck are they suddenly being so nice to me?

Something's up here. I don't like where this is going. And so we took him into the place that he's gone for 13 years and he knows the vets there and took him in and they gave him the Michael Jackson drug.
