Jerry was a great dude and and everyone that you speak to that knew him personally, I think, would tell you that he was a really, really genuine guy that was super smart.

That's Adam O'Brien. He's a Bitcoin entrepreneur from Edmonton.

Adam was friends with Gerald Cotton, the late CEO of Quadriga,

which was once the biggest Bitcoin exchange in Canada.

In early 2019, when Quadriga customers heard that Jerry had died under mysterious circumstances,

and that the $215 million in their accounts had disappeared, they were suspicious. They accused Jerry of faking his death and stealing their money.

So Jerry's colleagues in the Canadian Bitcoin industry rushed to his defense. They told reporters that the Jerry they knew was an

honest businessman and that his death was no conspiracy. When I first heard that

Jerry had passed away I thought it was a huge shame. Jerry was only ever a good guy. I've only ever seen him being a nice man.
