Alexis Darden number of family friends, Jenny Middleton,

and her then-doctor husband, David Forsyth, in the hope that they would help her escape.

Well, the phone rings at 5am and you think, oh my gosh, what's happened?

And it was Alexis and she said, Jenny, I need help, I need help.

And she said she wanted us, if we could, to go and pick her up.

Just to turn up to the rehabilitation centre and drive her to Paris.

She was quite clear about it.

She wasn't sure how safe it would be crossing the channel.

We talked it through, were we up for doing this?

I have to say at the time,

neither of us knew it was a criminal offence

to do this, to spring somebody from mental health section.
