Can you tell me what made you want to run for political office? What was the original reason that you wanted to do that?

Well, we live in a scary time in this country, but really in the world as a society.

You know, people like their BS stuff with BS and wrapped in BS to avoid dealing with the truth.

And I'm a person who's always sought to find the truth and then, if need be, speak the truth at my own detriment and that's what we

need in American politics so that was really the the driving force for why I decided to get

involved in politics and this was back in 2022 why why politics specifically I mean

there's many ways to address issues.

There's many, before you were more in the activism world.

What made you say politics and specifically the office you're running for is the way to do it?

Well, I think governance is important and I think a lot of the activism work that is done

is oftentimes undermined by what our politicians and our government do.

Because regulation is king, right?

I mean, at bottom of a lot of the initiatives that, let's say, come from the nonprofit world or even, let's say, the humanitarian private private sector still have to adhere to regulation.

And a lot of our regulation, a lot of our policy, a lot of our governance is undermining

everything that aims to bring us well-being and prosperity, which I know firsthand from being one of the early trailblazers in the mental health conversation and in that policy debate I had with the NBA.

I want to take it back for a second, like to the beginning of this, you know, when we started with you in 2020, right?
