0:34.5	take over and own the Gaza Strip. With Trump yesterday saying he's not trying to be cute, but we could turn it into the Riviera

0:41.3	So let's talk about the details, right? We talked last week about Trump suggesting his plan for the Gaza Strip was to clean out the whole thing.
0:46.3	A direct quote and a proposal that was widely condemned by the international community as illegal and criticized by many as a call for ethnic cleansing. And now, while the details are few, he is fully leaning into the idea.
0:56.0	Right, last night we saw him welcoming Israeli PM,
0:58.0	BB Netanyahu to Washington, and reaffirming his stance
1:01.0	that Palestinians should leave Gaza so it can be rebuilt.
1:04.0	But then, he went even further, stating much less ambiguously,
1:06.0	that he sees this as a long-term, if not permanent exit for the Gaza and people. With him also suggesting there that, one, it would be the U.S. to take ownership over the territory,
1:14.3	and that, two, he would not rule out the deployment of American troops.
1:17.3	And with all that, it's interesting to see how all of this unfolded, right?
1:20.4	It started with Trump's comments during an Oval Office meeting with Netanyahu
1:23.4	when a reporter asked if Palestinians would have the right to return to Gaza under his plan, and he said this.
