Monday, August 1st, proceeding, began with an absent juror on Ruben Flores' jury, who

had to be replaced with an alternate.

No reason was given for the absence.

17 of Ruben's 20 total jurors and alternates remain.

Deputy DA Christopher Puevrill, called J.T. Camp, a chief investigator for the San Luis

Obispo District Attorney's Office, as his first witness.

J.T. was a Cal Poly student from 1991 to 1995 and lived in both the Sequoia and Fremont

Red Brick dorms on campus.

He testified that the layout of the Red Brick dorms has remained virtually the same since

he left in 1995, with a slight uphill grade as the buildings back up to the base of a mountain,

sometimes called Poly Hill.

In 2021, Camp visited the house at 135 Crandallway, the site of the May 24th party, and took photos

of the front yard, back yard, and interior of the house.
