and making it all the way to the finale, I might add,

where she was the runner-up,

peppermint has built a truly impressive career.

On top of her drag and touring,

she's acted on multiple TV shows,

originated a role on Broadway,

and this month she's releasing a brand new EP.

It is one of a series of three.

This one, the first, is called A Girl Like Me, Letters to My Lovers.

On the podcast today, we talk about all that,

about what has been done about this ongoing issue of racism

and the drag fandom, and how coming out as trans changed her drag.

Peppermint says that her drag is a lot less serious now.

It's more fun, more campy.
