Let's turn over to Matthew Chapter 11.

While you're getting there, let me just finish up in Mark chapter 4. I didn't get to the

fourth type of ground this morning. My wife pulled the plug on me. But let me just say that the fourth

type of ground wasn't better than all the rest. You know what the difference was between the fourth

type of ground and the first three that didn't bring forth fruit? It didn't have more. It had less. It had less hard packed ground so that the

seed could penetrate. It had less stones that the seed could put down root. It had less weeds

to sap the nourishment of the soil. The soil that produced was soil that had

less. And I tell you, when the Lord showed this to me, it blessed me and encouraged me so much

because I've never felt like I was the best at anything. I wasn't sure I could be more, but I knew

I could be less, amen. If the key was being

less, if the key was having less doubt and unbelief and just less plugged into the world,

I could do that. I was absolutely convinced of it. And this is really what bears fruit is just the

simplicity of taking the word of God,

planting it in your heart and not letting anything else come against it.

Man, that is so simple.

That is profound.

And I want to illustrate what I've been talking about here in Matthew chapter 11.

This is an instance where John the Baptist had been put

into prison after only six months worth of ministry. You know, this is amazing. This man was separated
