0:11.2

This is your host, Sarah Hart Unger, and this is the podcast where we talk all things planning

0:15.5

and planning adjacent.

0:18.0

Today we have our guest episode for the month of August. For those who are new listeners,

0:23.3

know that Best Laid Plans does not do guests on a super regular basis. I try to have about one per month

0:28.9

because this is, seems to be what makes sense for the cadence of this podcast and ensures that

0:34.9

when I have somebody on, it's someone truly special that's covering an

0:38.8

angle of planning that I really can't talk about. And this is no exception because our guest today

0:44.7

is a master quilter and has a ton of experience sharing her quilting expertise with the

0:51.7

world via her website and her YouTube channel.

0:55.4

And she also has a passion for planning as it relates to crafting and quilting.

1:00.7

Because she's so passionate about it, she has more recently wanted to refine her planning methods.

1:05.9

And as we discuss on this episode, she actually was a member of Best Laid Plans Academy. So she was one of my

1:12.6

enrolled students in the cohort spring cohort, which was my second cohort. And then after the course

1:19.8

was over, reached out to kind of let me know that she really, really enjoyed it and to talk about

1:26.6

her passion for planning, which is when I asked her to come on because I felt that she really, really enjoyed it and to talk about her passion for planning, which is when I

1:28.2

asked her to come on because I felt that she had a lot to share with you listeners. So I really

1:33.9

hope you enjoy this kind of glimpse into the crafting world and how planning can be

1:39.2

incredibly helpful in that realm. And yeah, I learned a lot from speaking with Sherry. And even though I am not

1:48.5

a crafty person myself, every time I talk to someone in the knitting or fiber arts or quilting

1:54.3

space, I absolutely see the appeal and how relaxing and wonderful for just life enjoyment and mental health it truly can be.

2:03.5

So I will let Sherry share all of her stuff and here we go.
