Let's talk about your column today and this ridiculous backlash against Nazanine Zagawi Rackliffe.

Well, I found it extraordinary actually because it just seen that this woman had come out after

six years, quite often in solitary confinement, having suffered torture and abuse in Iran,

and the moment she gets back to Britain, you think we'd all be hailing her. Not as a heron,

but as someone who needs support and help and time, we just spend with her husband, Richard,

who's been extraordinary trying to get her released and with her daughter. But instead, a lot of

people are saying that she's not being grateful enough just because she mentioned that five

foreign secretaries in Britain hadn't managed to help get her released.

And the backlash against her has been really quite phenomenal. And since I've written my column,

I've had a lot of tweets saying, you know, of course she's, you know, she's deeply ungrateful,

how can you not say that, you know, you're part of the problem, not the solution. And it does feel

as if there's a really nasty element in Britain now, people who just expect you to be grateful for

everything. I, yeah, I think probably there's always been a nasty element in Britain. And just

talking, me and Matt were talking about this beforehand. And what social media has allowed

that nasty element to have is a platform where previously it would have been a few

blokes in the pub. And it is blokes, by the way, I suspect. So I don't know, I mean, it's just,
