Hey everybody welcome back to another episode of the Catholic talk show today. We're going to be talking about

Blessing same-sex unions. That's right. We're going to look at some of the recent statements made by Pope Francis

Opening the door potentially to the Catholic Church blessing gay unions and what our thoughts are on that.

This is a very important pastoral topic to talk about and unpacking Pope Francis's

thoughts on this will be very very helpful. All right here we go. Yeah, it's a definitely a topic that's in the news a lot.

So I haven't read too much about it in the news too. It's just you know like conservatives liberals and it becomes a

partisan a partisan thing but you know when Pope Francis is talking about it

it's a pastoral thing it's not it's not a it's not a political thing.

And here's the thing.

Most people I doubt have read what Pope Francis has actually said.

Or care.

They just want this they want the snippet so they can get angry.

And it's not it's not that I don't think people are looking for snippets to get angry.

I just think people have been conditioned to receive snippets and become angry.

It's a manipulation of the of the person's intellect and

emotional state. So I think this is going to be a very helpful episode so like

let's just look at what he's saying and talk about it. Not that we're experts in the mind of the Holy

Father, but at the same time let's look at what he says, let's discuss it. We want

you to participate charitably online in our comments sections as well we need to have a

productive and reinvigorated dialogue as a people so this is a forum that we can

dialogue about this charitably and be able to understand more clearly what Pope Francis is saying

and what's the direction of the church and what the catechism instructs us to do in situations
