Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk

Radio. We are now officially in the final hour. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, over in Brussels,

the negotiators from Downing Street are hammering out the deal with the EU to leave by October

the 31st.

The crucial question is, will it be ready by tonight?

Predictably, the midnight deadline set by Michelle Barnier came and went last night,

but both sides say they are now inches away from agreeing to a document in principle that can be presented to the European Council tomorrow.

Of course, the trouble is nobody really knows what's in it, so nobody

really knows if it's going to get through the houses of Parliament. Just to help things along,

there's a bunch of remainers on the Eurostar heading to the land of mayonnaise and muscles. Dominic

Greve, Vince Cable and David Lammy are using their expenses to travel first class in order to convince

the Eurocrats that we don't really want to leave. Even Caroline Lucas has torn herself away from the Extinction Rebellion protest to join up with them.
