Hello, welcome to another special episode, I guess. My thoughts have just been too long form to get in Instagram stories and crank out, freaking 20 stories.

This is why I have a podcast. And so it's crazy last Friday, almost exactly when I'm recording this now, the next Friday.

I sat here and recorded an episode to prepare us for what was coming on Tuesday.

And I think you can hear in the episode, I was fully prepared for Carmelhares to win.

I was holding on to a lot of hope.

And it was really encouraging to see how on top of things the RNC was with early voting and there were

some independent polls that were trending honestly towards a landslide. I listened to Ben Shapiro's

episode the day before the election and he had it at a landslide. He gave him New Hampshire, which was a

little insane. But when that came out,

I was like, dang. I mean, obviously, Benjamero is not a fortune teller, but, hey, everybody,

a lot of people just seemed really confident. And so I was riding their coattails because I really felt like,

I think I was having 20-20 flashbacks and I was worrying. and I was honest about that. I got on my stories

and was like, I'm going to be honest. I'm stressed to a degree, but it wasn't wrecking me. I was a little

tightly wound if I'm being honest. And, you know, not to get into it, but I think as a Christian

and someone that's public with my faith, there's this expectation that I'm

going to be cool, calm, and collected all the time because I trust that Jesus is in control.

And I do. I actually do. I think that's why I was prepared for her to win and why I had thought

through what that would look like and that in the end, God would still be good and in control because I trust Jesus.

Like, it wasn't like spinning out or anything.

We are still human.

So a week later, I'm sitting here and freaking Donald Trump won.

The stock market went through the freaking roof.
