But where do we leave off? He conquered Cyprus, put the false emperor in chains and then sailed off towards Acre.

Yeah, so we left off just where he sort of landed at Acre and that scene of devastation it would have been.

Yes, sort of a horrific scene where even the crusader camp was being besieged.

And they'd been there for 18 months nearly two years something like that

quick FYI that's literally what the Muslims called everyone from Europe

yeah yeah he didn't necessarily have to be Frankish.

In the same way we just called them all Saracons.

Yeah, or infidels.

Yeah.

Something like that.

So what I thought I'd do is just a super quick recap just to mention again the horns of

Hating where the kingdom of Jerusalem their army under Guidilutignon, had been sort of tempted out of Jerusalem itself

and annihilated into the desert onto these twin peaks at Hattin and more or less annihilated.

Yeah.

And I'm going to that in a bit more detail later because I want to talk all about Saladin, the life of Saladin.

This episode I want to make maybe half of it, maybe.
