but there's only one place to start, Tom. That is the fact that Liverpool went out to Paris

Saint-German last night in the Champions League, Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones missing from

the penalty spot or at least Donna Ruma saving

their efforts in that shootout. And it was heartbreaking, I think, for Liverpool to have stayed in it

for as long as they did. They had hope all the way through the first leg, the second leg, the extra

time. He goes all the way to penalties. I don't think Liverpool can be sort of too feeling that it was unfair, really.

I think that the result, the right team probably went through it across the course of that

period.

But it still doesn't make it any easier to take, does it?

Yeah, I think the best team did ultimately win it over the course of the two legs and you refer back to the first leg.

Liverpool obviously rode the luck an awful lot in that game.

I think there was 27 shots, something like that in that first game.

And Alison maybe got Liverpool out to jail and gave them an opportunity to strike a bit of an

advantage through Harvey Elliott coming to that second leg. But I think we all knew deep down that
