When you look at Tuesdays, Champions League ties, you kind of thought, well, they're kind of a foregone conclusion.

Neither actually proved to be that way.

Aston Villa, of course, were 3-1 down against PSG, going into the second leg at Villa Park.

At one stage, they were 5-1 down because of goals from Mendez and in Kimi, but then things were

twist. Tillam was from score, McKin would get a deflected effort, Concer then would make it

3-2 and then a plethora of chances for Unai Emery's side couldn't be converted, PSG hanging

on in the end,

but in the end it is PSG who advanced 5-4 on aggregate.

But, Craig, half an hour gone, 5-1 down, switch it off.

Which is what we, certainly how I thought the tie was going to go

because of the quality of this PSG side.

And I was still sitting thinking, yeah, kind of easy to call this one, wasn't it?

You know, Villa, you know, workman light, quarterfinals, back in the Champions League after 40 years, but a bridge too far.

And then, PSG in the second half almost just capitulated.

You know, the defending, the shape.

You know, John McGinn picks the ball up from Pow Torres, midway in his own half.

There's only Votinia in the midfield at this point.

He's going to the left.

He's allowed to run 70 to 80 yards and get a strike away.
