0:22.1	Julia Dahl. Julia is a medical school professor of pathology at the University of Michigan,
0:27.3	but she's also an analyst who studied the image repair tactics that leaders and PR professionals
0:32.8	use when they're caught in a crisis. In part one of my interview with Julia, Julia analyzed a public
0:38.8	apology offered by Dr. Thomas White, the president of Cedarville University, and she did a masterful
0:44.5	job of explaining how Dr. White was able to spend a crisis situation to his own benefit.
0:50.6	Well, today, Julia is going to analyze another video, but a very different one. In this
0:56.0	podcast, Julia will analyze an interview with Brian Luritz that was recorded after I began
1:00.9	publishing some damaging information about Brian. About 10 years ago, Brian was pastoring a megachurch
1:06.9	in Memphis when he discovered that his brother-in-law, who was the worship pastor at his church,
1:12.0	had been secretly videotaping people in the church bathroom. But Brian never reported his
1:17.5	brother-in-law, and his brother-in-law, Rick Trotter, went on to lead worship at another church
1:22.1	and then to repeat his crimes, and he actually wasn't brought to justice till six years later.
1:28.9	Now, you may think that this would be a career-ending mistake for Brian Luritz, especially if Luritz knowingly covered up his
1:35.1	brother-in-law's crimes. But Luritz recorded a video explaining himself. And apparently,
1:40.2	it was very effective because Luritz remains an executive pastor at the Summit Church, a very influential church, pastored by J.D. Greer.
1:49.6	J.D. Greer is the president of the Southern Baptist Convention.
1:53.6	So I'm really looking forward to talking with Julia and analyzing this video by Brian Lerritt.
