your time zone. Pastor Mike here with another episode of public reading of scripture.

I want to just challenge each one of you right now before we get into tonight's chapters.

The Bible, the Bible is an unswerving,

absolute rock of truth in an ever-changing world, often a chaotic world, an evil world that constructs

false narratives, disseminates lies, people drink that,

lie, Kool-Aid, and end up behaving and acting and reacting to situations of life, doing utter

destruction along their path. And the alternative is to push all of that to the side

on an event like this. I was thinking about this, how valuable this is to me personally.

I look forward to every time we read, even if I pre-read the chapters, there's always something

God says to me, no matter how many times I've read these chapters.

It is a gift, and it is a new year, and we celebrate the Lord Jesus Christ that came and gave

his life for every single one of us. And I hope you've said yes. I assume you have since you're watching this.

Public reading of scripture is simply sitting back,

listening to God's word and allowing the spirit of God to speak to you right where you're at.
