Welcome to aggressive life. This summer, we're playing back some live talks I've given over the past year, something a little different for the month of July. And today, you're going to get a peek behind the curtain of what it's like to work for me.

Derek, you should just know what's like to work for me. What's it like? It's great. It is great. Unpredictable. You like it? Which I like the unpredictable part of it.

This talk I gave was all about the importance of building friendships.

It was one I delivered to a gathering about 150 male staff members of Crossroads that Church I help start and still lead.

And it's not often that I get to talk to just the guys.

I talk to men in other settings, but it's not often that I get to talk to just the guys. I talk to men in other

settings, but it's weird. I just haven't talked to just the men on the staff that I lead.

So I want to take the opportunity to encourage and push them towards something that would

radically improve their lives that is developing and maintaining friendships.

It's no secret that men are lonely and disconnected.

Nearly every social stat for men is down into the right. Just not good. If you're a man,

I hope this talk pushes you to be aggressive and moving towards getting connected. Or if you're a woman, same thing. You need to be connected as well. And you also need to be aggressive and moving towards getting connected or if you're a woman, same thing.

And you also need to be very encouraging and helpful for your own benefit to help your man have healthy connected friendships.

Nothing determines the trajectory of a person's life like the people we surround ourselves with.
