Putin agrees to a partial ceasefire. The FBI extradites an MS-13 leader and two stranded

Trump and Putin strike a temporary deal after a two-hour call to discuss the war in Ukraine.

Daily Wire White House correspondent Mary Margaret O'Lahan has the details.

Both leaders agreed to launch immediate talks on an energy infrastructure ceasefire,

followed by technical negotiations for a maritime

ceasefire in the Black Sea and then a full permanent peace. While Putin did not commit to Trump's

proposed 30-day ceasefire, which Ukraine supports, the White House said negotiations will begin

right away. The leaders also highlighted the potential for improved U.S.-Russia relations,

including major economic deals and geopolitical stability.

In a statement to Russian media, Putin said Russia and Ukraine will each exchange 175 prisoners.

Russia will also release 23 seriously wounded Ukrainian servicemen who are also reportedly being treated in Russian medical institutions.

The call is considered a good first step.
