So, my eldest daughter, she is 10 years old, and she has got a phone.

Words that I thought would never leave my mouth, to be absolutely honest.

I don't know, well, maybe it's because we're the first generation that's really, you know,

getting to grips with kids having tech so early on. And I, it crept up on me a bit. It crept up on me

because it almost was that her peer group got phones and then suddenly on the back foot,

she was asking for one. And I was like in that position you know where you know all the kids are going to a certain birthday party

and suddenly all the parents saying no she was then feeling really out of the loop so it was a really

heartbreaking kind of situation to be in going I don't want you to have a phone, but equally, I don't want you to be left out.

It's really tricky. I think it's a really complicated situation that we've got at the moment.

There are so many statistics out there that are just basically saying how, you know, that we're heading towards a catastrophe in terms of mental health in kids,

you know, children taking their own lives because of social media.
