Hey Myrtlebeats, nice time for another southern slang of the week.

This week's southern slang is quit going around your elbow to get to your ass.

Okay, the real definition about this is doing things the hard way or making things more difficult than they need to be.

And I'm going to try to explain why going around your elbow to get to your ass is just something that you ought not need to be doing because doing it

the hard way ends up being the hard hard way. Hey, it's kind of like following directions. You know, when you buy

something and you got to put it together and if you don't follow the

directions, oh it's a mess.

You got to tear it back apart.

You got to do something else with it and try to figure out where all the bolts and then you lose something and you

got to find all those things. So that's what it means, you know, quit going

around your ass to get to your elbow means that if you're going to do something follow the directions and

listen in my situation and I've got a lot older I don't mind stopping and asking for directions. Why would somebody want to try to go around

their elbow to get to their ass when they can just reach right down there and get to their ass. I don't go around my

elbow to get to my ass. I just get straight to my ass. That was our southern sign for the

week and I don't think I said the word ass so many times

in three minutes, but I sure do hope you enjoy about getting from your elbow to your ass and just getting straight to your
